The RBI Assistant is one of the most respected clerical-level positions in Indian government banking. What Is the Mains Exam All About?
The RBI Assistant Mains examination is the second and most important stage of the recruitment process. Unlike Prelims — which is only qualifying in nature — the Mains marks directly count in the final merit list. This means the score you secure on June 7 will determine whether you get selected and which office you are allotted to. Every single mark matters. There are no second chances, no grace marks, and no retests.
The exam consists of 200 questions across 5 sections, to be completed in 135 minutes. Each section has a fixed time limit — you cannot borrow time from one section and use it in another. This makes time management the most critical skill to develop in the days leading up to the exam.

- Click on Opportunities @ RBI → Current Vacancies → Call Letters
- Enter your Registration Number + Password / Date of Birth
- Verify all details — name, roll number, exam centre, shift, reporting time
- Download the PDF and take at least 2 printouts
- Carry original photo ID to exam hall along with the admit card
